Merry Christmas 2007

Merry Christmas from the desk windowsill of Ms. Bella

(Meow-to-English Christmas letter translation & transcription sponsored by Meowlingual)

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Chad's little kitty Bella. I've been living in Chad's town home for about a year now. I'm a stay-at-home cat. I enjoy quiet evenings at home, bird watching, and tuna. When Chad is at work, I'm usually home napping or eating.

I run the house while Chad works at NetShops – a company he has been with for more than four years in the marketing department. He has also been talking to businesses about increasing their web traffic through his 'Bring' the Traffic Consulting. Growth expected in 2008.

Chad turned 30 this past May, so some friends and family surprised him at The Cheesecake Factory here in Omaha. I didn't go, I don't like cheesecake or crowded restaurants.

Chad's old roommate moved out in July, so it's just the two of us. The house is pretty quiet unless Chad is blasting Jars of Clay or watching a movie. I know he is trying to find someone to live here since I don't contribute to the payments at all – you could say that I'm a bit of a mooch. I prefer not to work. I don't listen or take direction very well and pretty much do whatever I want. I've never heard of office naptime and besides, I can't even type.

Speaking of blasting Jars of Clay, the band was in Lincoln in August for the State Fair, so of course Chad went to see 'em, again. I didn't get to go (no, I'm not bitter); after all, I hear ‘em enough at home. I've lost count (nor can I count) how many times he has seen them live. He's told me, but I'm not sure he realizes that I don't understand English.

This year brought a few more "cousins" for me, including twins. (As in, some of Chad's friends had kids.) I can't even remember how many "cousins" I have. I hear I'll have a few more cousins in 2008. So, I should probably get de-clawed soon. At least the babies and I can have naptime! He sure does enjoy playing "uncle Chad" to all his 'nieces' & 'nephews'.

I'm excited that aunt Angie (Chad's big sister) is engaged to Scott. They are getting married next spring. Maybe I'll attend the wedding or crash the reception!

RoomMate Productions, Chad's independent film hobby has a few films in the works. I'm hoping that one of the screenplays calls for a cat'tress'; I know just the perfect kitty.

Well, I should get back to my nap. Chad is at work and should be home soon to feed me and pet me and play with me. I try to tell him to turn off the TV and write, but I don't think he understands "meow". He's been updating a friend's book website to help promote Demon: A Memoir by Tosca Lee. I haven't read it, but I hear she's getting some great reviews.

Well, if you are ever in Omaha, please stop by and when you do stop by, bring some tuna.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

We both wish you all happiness, rest, and success!

~ Ms. Bella and of course... Chad too
